The Hills star Heidi Montag and her spoiled squeeze Spencer Pratt have married while in Mexico this week. Finally Spencer Pratt figured out a way to keep a friend — force them into a binding legal partnership.

It’s not the first time that they’ve attempted to take the “next step.” Back in 2007, Spencer proposed with a ring he picked up at the mall, but it didn’t last.

Well now Heidi, who claims to be a serious Christian, will no longer be living in sin.

I still wonder whether Spencer and Heidi’s troubles with L.C. on the show are set up by producers to cast them as certain characters. The whole thing seems artificial. I always kind of wondered if L.C. was a closet lesbo who lusted after Heidi, which would explain her distaste for Spencer.

Is this just the next move in the lives of two famous-for-nothing celebs who will do anything for publicity, or are they really soul mates?

I suppose we’ll find out. Until then, enjoy the smarmy look on their faces in the photos they’ll undoubtedly bank on heavily.
